Labor Day Weekend Happenings

It’s one of the most popular and most talked-about events of the year.  Dragon*Con returns to Atlanta on August 30-September 1. More than 50,000 people are expected to flood the streets of downtown Atlanta, many of them dressed in costume.

72,000 people are expected to converge on downtown Atlanta for the Chick-fil-a Kickoff Game on Saturday, August 31.  The University of Alabama and Virginia Tech will duke it out for bragging rights as their rowdy fan bases root them on to victory.

Even if you’re not getting in on the Dragon*Con or Chick-fil-a Kick-Off Game action, you can still take advantage of some great specials at Alma Cocina during Labor Day Weekend!

From Friday, August 30- Sunday, September 1, Alma will offer the following food and beverage specials for all guests:

$4 Corona
$4  Pacifico
$3 Famosa
$3 Victoria
$3 Red Hare IPA draft
$5  El Clásico (100% blue agave tequila and
fresh citrus juices; served on-the-rocks or frozen)
$18 spice-rubbed steak tacos (3 tacos with rice and beans)

Alma will also be open for lunch and dinner on both Saturday and Sunday, but will be closed on Monday, September 2.

We’re sure you’ll want to take full advantage of your Labor Day holiday. Don’t slave away in the kitchen making dinner… let us do the work!  La Tavola, Ecco, El Taco, and Lure will all be open for dinner on Monday, September 2.  South City Kitchen Midtown and South City Kitchen Vinings will both be closed.

However you decide to spend your holiday weekend, we hope you have a fun and safe Labor Day!
