Si Señoras Y Señores—It’s Time For #CincoDeMayo at @ElTacoATL!

Cinco_de_Mayo,_1901_posterIt’s no surprise that Cinco de Mayo is El Taco‘s favorite holiday. With all the tequila and food and general frivolity, how can you blame ’em?

But it’s also easy to forget that there’s a serious reason for all this hullabaloo. Its origins lie in commemorating the Mexican victory over the French in the Battle of Puebla in 1862. Today, the date is observed in the United States as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride.

El Taco will celebrate all weekend from open to close with $4 pineapple-infused tequila shots, $12 buckets of Dos Equis, and $12 El Jimador margaritas and $7 Dos Equis Lager Drafts in 22 oz. souvenir cups.

This is the perfect time to come in and try some of the awesome new dishes we have on the menu, too. And, of course, we’ll have lots of great prizes to win on the Wheel of Taco every hour on the hour.

We will not be taking reservations, but we’re happy to put your name on the wait list—just call us at 404.873.4656 30 minutes before you arrive.

If you’ve decided to stay home and party, consider getting a Cinco-To-Go package that feeds 8-10 hungry people. All you have to do is heat and assemble.
