Just in time for Cinco de Mayo, Food Network Chopped contestant (and champion to us; he placed second) and
Alma Cocina sous chef, Jeffrey Gardner, will be donating his time and talent to teach a Simple Abundance cooking class at The Cook’s Warehouse on April 22 from 7-9pm.
You’ll learn just how sweet Mexican cooking can be as Jeffrey demonstrates how to prepare the restaurant’s famous desserts including tres leches cake (pictured left), traditional churros and flourless choclate chipotle cake. The evening also includes wine tastings sponsored by National Distributing and a chance to win tasty door prizes provided by Bella Cucina Artful Foods and Cabot Cheese.
The best part is 100% of the proceeds benefit one of our favorite organizations, Atlanta Community Food Bank!
The cost is only $55 and seats are filled on a first-come first-served (pun intended) basis. These classes sell out quickly, so don’t wait—reserve your seats today!
In the meantime, here’s Jeffrey’s Chopped audition video (he was the sous chef at South City Kitchen Midtown at the time). He’s quite a character and you can clearly see how much he loves food and cooking.
