It’s Movember 1—Do You Know Where Your Moustache Is?

It’s that time of year again when you start to see a lot of fellas donning a dandy moustache. That’s because November is actually Movember—a time when men all over the globe grow hairy lips to help raise awareness of and funds for men’s health issues like prostate and testicular cancer. Think of it as our version of the pink ribbon for breast cancer awareness.

This is my second year participating (that’s me up there in the sweater vest, of course) with a great group of Atlanta guys otherwise known as “Staches for Cashes.” The team includes our very own Alma Cocina sous chef, Jeffrey Gardner, Caren West PR’s  Chad David ShearerMatt Coggin of D.B.A. Barbecue, and Eat Drink Repeat blogger extraordinaire Chris Watkins.

The funds raised are directed to programs run directly by Movember and its men’s health partners, the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG.

If you’re feeling generous, just like moustaches or have lost a loved one to a men’s health issue, I would great appreciate your support.  It will certainly make all this effort (and itching) worth it. You can make a donation on my Mo’ Space page as well as keep up with pictures of my hirsute pursuit. All donations are tax-deductible.

Thank you!
