#SCKV’s Po’ Boys Are Rich With Flavor

Few things are as Southern as a po’ boy. In fact, some might say it is the quintessential Southern sandwich.

So it seems fitting that starting Monday, May 14, South City Kitchen Vinings will introduce its new Po’ Boy Monday featuring four authentically delicious takes on this classic dish.

The Peacemaker $14
Legend has it N’awlins gentlemen would bring their angry wives oyster sandwiches to make peace. Fried oysters get in bed with romaine lettuce, tomatoes and housemade remoulade. And it doesn’t hurt oysters are aphrodisiacs, too.

I’ll Have Another $15
Our tribute to the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby. A roll loaded with two derby traditions—poached shrimp salad and Benedictine—plus a dollop of cool slaw with shredded cabbage, cucumber and fresh mint. Giddy up!

The Debris $13
It starts with braised beef brisket simmered for so long it falls apart into its own gravy. Pile on cheddar cheese, fried okra and smoked chili ketchup and you’ve got a mess that is well worth the clean up.

Fried Chicken Livers $10
Crispy fried chicken livers as only we can do ‘em with pickled carrots and cucumbers, fresh basil and jalapeno mayo. It’s the not-so-classic of the bunch.
