After returning from a recent trip to New Orleans, I found the only thing I remembered with vivid detail were the meals I consumed. Now, this could be because of the Hurricanes and Sazeracs, or it could simply be because it was so absolutely delicious! The bold flavors, unique presentation and authentic execution found only in the Crescent City are truly something you don’t soon forget.
That’s why I’m so thrilled that South City Kitchen Vinings is once again running the special, limited-time-only “A Taste of New Orleans” menu February 2-11. Timed to whet your whistle for Fat Tuesday (February 21), the menu features grilled oysters, alligator (!) and andouille beignets, grillades, trout meunière, boudin blanc and pain perdu.
Plus, these specials will be available in addition to most of our regular menu, so feel free to go full-on NOLA or just add a dish or two for the table to share. Either way, we’re talking seriously good food here, people. As the Cajun say, “Laissez les bon temps rouler!” Who are we to argue?
