There’s a good reason Frank Sinatra once crooned, “It was a very good year.”
Join us at Ecco on Wednesday, February 8 at 6:30pm for an extensive tasting of overlooked whites, reds, Sauvignon Blancs and Rhône blends of France brought to you by the varied portfolio of Vintage ’59 wines.
While many importers represent a worldwide variety of wines, Vintage ’59 focuses on representing cutting edge wines from France—it’s what excites them (and us!) and it’s what they know best. Their aim is to stay abreast of who is making exceptional wine in good appellations and to bring these wines and stories to those of you who appreciate them. From established growers to emerging young Turks, their mission is to bring you terrific wines and to make you familiar with the people and places behind those wines.
Perhaps the most important lesson we can learn from them is that even the best artisan wines don’t have to cost you an arm and a leg; they require only an open mind. We love this idea. Don’t you?
Perrine Prieur of the darling Perrine’s Wine Shop located in Atlanta’s Westside will also be on-hand to answer questions and take orders.
Of course, we’ll have a delicious assortment of heavy hors d’oeuvres including poached quail egg with house-cured bacon and apple marmalade; roasted Vidalia onions with anchoiade; beef tartare; rabbit confit with San Agostino tapenade; and a black trumpet mushroom, fontina and speck wood-fired pizza.
The cost is only $30/person (plus tax and gratuity) and we’ll offer you 15% off if you choose to stay for dinner after the tasting. For more information or to make reservations, please call 404.347.9555 today.
