Attention, students. Recess is over and we’re back in session. Join us at Ecco‘s bar on Sunday, October 30 at 6pm when our complimentary beverage education series, Sunday School, returns with a tasting and history lesson about vermouth. This versatile fortified wine was first used as a medicinal libation starting in the 18th century until the latter 19th century when it became an important ingredient in many of the first classic cocktails, such as the martini.
The herbs in vermouth also make it an attractive ingredient in sauces for fish or as a marinade for pork and chicken. Therefore, we’re bringing in our new executive chef, Craig Richards, as a guest professor to demonstrate how best to use it in home cooking.
As always, there is no cost to attend and sample the subject matter and we will give you 15% off your check if you stay for dinner after class.
Reservations for class are not required, but if you plan to stay for dinner, please call 404.347.9555 or go online. You’re dismissed.
